Limestone

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

Disconformable contact with the underlying Silurian-Devonian Qingshan Fm (but "dot" location near Devon7 suggests underlying regionally might be the Changyucun Fm chert?)

Upper contact

Conformable contact with the overlying LuguhuCarb Fm

Regional extent

distributed in the Ninglang area bordered by northwestern Yunnan and Sichuan

GeoJSON

null

Fossils

(1) Jinzigou Member contains the brachiopod Scaliognathus anchoralis zone; (2) Laohudong Member contains 4 conodont zones, i.e. the Gnathodus homopunctatus, Pseudopolygnathodus? yunnanensis, Gnathodus bilineatus and G. nodusus zones ascending. In addition, there are also corals, Ammonoids, foraminifers and fusulinid Eostaffella sp.; (3) Hongqiao Member contains the brachiopod Gnathodus bilibollandensis-G. girtyi simplex assemblage zone as well as corals, brachiopods and fusulinids
